For most offices, traditional vertical or lateral file cabinets will do the job. The most common vertical file cabinets are the two-to-four drawer metal cabinets that are designed to store either letter or legal files. Lateral files are wider and offer more storage along with being able to file either letter or legal size in the same cabinet. You also have the option of filing either side-to-side or front-to-back with lateral files.
